Stage Three: Critique an editorial or commentary from a national newspaper
The authors intended audience is those who are a product of immigrants or refugees. The credibility of the author is fairly high taking into consideration that he put down into words his own story and what he has gone thru being an immigrant and having to start all the way from the bottom working as a dish washer for 12 hours straight to owning a few of his own firms in austin. The authors argument is stated in the commentary as  "Immigrants are the foundation of this country. We are all products of immigrants or refugees — and each of us has contributed to make America the great country it is. My personal story proves that an inclusive and well-executed immigration policy works."  I agree with the author that a well executed immigration policy works because majority of all the immigrants that come to the United States are looking for a better future not only for them but also for their families. "If we weaken our foundation with reckless immigration policy, we are deconstructing what our ancestors and founding fathers worked so hard to build."

Hi all, my name is Emily and I would highly encourage you all to read the article "Trump administración can't enforce travel ban, federal appeals court rules" by Jordan Rudner in the dallasnews.com. The article talks about the new president, Donald Trumps views and where he stands on the topic of refugees. Trump strongly opposes all the muslims to STAY AWAY. He states how they are not welcome and how he will go to any measure for the muslims to keep out. That goes for any refugees. Many people strongly disagree from trumps opinion. The executive branch's "authority and expertise in such manners do not automatically trump the court's own obligations to secure the protection that the Constitution grants to individuals," the judges wrote, "even in times of war."
"National defense cannot be deemed an end in itself," the judges added.  Travelers afected by the ban will continue to be admitted into the country including visa holders from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen and any refugees that have passed the extensive screaming system already in place.
